The afternoon was sparkling bright as we arrived at the lovely gardens of Skansen Open Air Museum for the photo shoot of this lovely early 19th century outfit. The head dress is in embroidered silk with a linen and lace cap underneath. The wrap is an original from the museum collection and kept our model warm throw the chilly autumn day.

Laila Duran was invited to Disagården, in Gamla Uppsala, to photograph 19th century fashion costumes. Håkan Liby and his charming wife Elisabeth did the modeling for the photoshoot.
Disagården is an outdoor museum situated in the outskirts of Gamla Uppsala, close to the Uppsala old church. The museums main task is to show how the people on the countryside lived in the late half of the 19th century. The museum include many farmbuildings, typical for that period, with gorgeous interiors. To have the opportunity to do a photosession in such beautiful surroundings was a great pleasure!
